Colchester MP Bob Russell this morning (Tuesday) questioned the Chairman of the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) and the next HM Inspector of Constabulary over the policing of the recent G20 Summit protests in London earlier this month which has prompted scores of complaints.
Liberal Democrat Mr Russell is a long-serving member of the Home Affairs Select Committee before which the IPCC Chairman, Mr Nick Hardwick, and the next HM Inspector of Constabulary, Mr Denis O'Connor, gave evidence and answered questions. Both organisations are currently holding separate inquiries into the events.
