Awards for Lib Dem led Colchester Borough Council

It has been a bumper season for Colchester Council winning awards. Castle Park is officially the best park in the Country, and has been shortlisted for the best park in Europe. The Heritage Lottery fund has also awarded the Town over £160k in funding to help interpret our past for visitors. This will not only cover the castle but the Town Walls and Roman Circus.

Even more impressive was the award of over £1.4m from the government in recognition of our success in Planning and Delivery. This was not only more than Chelmsford, Braintree Maldon, Tendring and Essex County Council combined, but amongst the highest in the Country. Showing yet again just how successful the Council has become since we took over from the Conservative.
