Free bus travel for over-60's (which was bought back by Liberal Democrats in Colchester last year) is now being reviewed by Essex County Council, who have taken over responsibility for funding the project from the Lib Dem led Borough Council.
The County Council are running a consultation until the end of September on how much users value their free bus pass.
Rather than sending out the consultation to all current bus pass holders, the consultation is only available through phoning 08457 430 430, visiting your local library, or by filling in the survey online here: www.essex.gov.uk/buspass/
Bob Russell is concerned that many bus pass users will not be aware that this consultation is taking place and urges his constituents to respond to Essex County Council.
