MP Bob Russell at Windsor Castle

A notable absentee from St George's Day celebrations in Colchester this Sunday will be the town's MP Bob Russell - for he and his wife Audrey have been invited to Windsor Castle as guests for the Centenary of Scouting celebrations to be attended by Her Majesty The Queen.

Normally on St George's Day Mr Russell attends Colchester Borough Council's St George's Day Civic Service in the morning and the Colchester Scouts Parade and Service in the afternoon.

Mr Russell has been invited to the Windsor Castle event in his capacity as Secretary of the All-Party Parliamentary Scout Group.
