MP holds three Advice Bureaux

12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Sun 15th Jul 2007

Increasing calls for assistance by local residents has led to Colchester MP Bob Russell having to hold three days' of Advice Bureaux sessions in just one week, all of them fully booked with appointments.

These are in addition to the scores of letters, phone calls and e-mails which he receives from constituents.

Mr Russell said: "Each case is important for the person concerned. Issues raised with me cover just about every subject under the sun. Obviously I cannot win every case I take up, but I always do my best and I think that people appreciate this."

Residents seeking appointments can write to Mr Russell at Magdalen Hall, Wimpole Road, Colchester CO1 2DR; e-mail him at brooksse@parliament.uk; or phone his office on Colchester 506600.

Although the House of Commons is in recess for the summer, Liberal Democrat Mr Russell said that he still had a busy diary of events both in Colchester and elsewhere.
